For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”
1 Corinthians 9:16

Who is Ken Butler?
My parents were saved shortly after I was born, so I grew up going to church. When I was seven years old, I realized that I was a sinner and on my way to eternal punishment in hell. I understood that only Christ could pay my penalty. I knew I needed to receive Him and trust God to save me through Christ’s blood. I accepted Christ as my Savior and was baptized about two weeks later. My wife and I were married on January 25, 1976 after attending Bible College for one quarter. In 1995 God led us to move to Watertown, Wisconsin where our sons could live at home while they attended Bible College. I was then able to resume my preparation for the ministry. I enrolled in Maranatha Baptist Bible College in the Fall of 1995 and graduated five years later in May of 2000. I received my license to preach the gospel from Calvary Baptist Church of Jefferson Wisconsin on May 28, 2000.
Who is Jeri Butler?
I did not grow up in a Christian home and had no Christian influence from any of my relatives. As a 16-year-old I began to worry about my future, the path in which I was heading, and what would happen to me for eternity. I did not know if Heaven and Hell were real, but the thought of death and an eternity in the grave scared me so much. I had a lot of fear and felt very trapped in my life not knowing the truth. The Lord put a very important person in my life (Ken Butler), and he began to witness to me. He told me from the Bible how I could know for sure where I would spend eternity. He told me the truth about Heaven and Hell. He gave me the answer I was searching for. The Lord worked in my heart over a few months and I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior in 1974. First John 5:11-13 are very precious verses to me, because they gave me the assurance I needed. I now know I will spend eternity with my Heavenly Father.
